Jungian Psychoanalyst

Nobody as long as he moves among the chaotic currents of life is without trouble, wrote psychologist Carl Gustav Jung. As an English-speaking psychoanalyst in Berlin, my work is to support individuals in navigating the chaos, trouble and suffering that everyday life entails.

I am an Italian clinical psychologist working as an expat in Berlin since 2013 with individuals and couples, but only for Italian-speaking patients. I strongly believe in the results showing that mother-tongue therapy is the most effective one.

It is the brave person who allows him or herself to feel vulnerable, admit there is a problem, and take steps to find the right help. By finding the help you need, you are the courageous one. Come to a safe and confidential space, where, with your earned trust, we explore the things that stop you from living the life you want.

I’m a psychologist from Melbourne, Australia who provides individual and group treatment for adults and adolescents in Berlin. I do my best to be the change I seek to create for my clients – committed, compassionate and respectful – and treat the entire person, not just their problems.

  • transactional analysis

I use Transactional Analysis as my main theoretical framework. With its clear structure it helps to understand why we can get stuck in confusion and repetitive behaviours in our private and professional lives. As an English and German-speaking counsellor and therapist in Berlin, I have personal experiences living in different cultures and being challenged by new and unknown situations.

Participating in counselling is committing to your self that you are willing to investigate, integrate and evolve. Joining with you in this process, I will do my best to help you grow beyond limitations and thrive.

Clinical Psychologist

Johanne Schwensen

People are the experts in their own lives. This is why supporting the individual in being his or her own therapist is the primary purpose of my work as a Danish- and English-speaking clinical psychologist working in Berlin. Together we’ll explore the past and present narratives of your life and help to thicken those which reveal ability and positive attributes.

  • mental health
  • life transitions
  • life coaching

In working with me, clients can expect a structured and practical approach to counselling. I operate from the understanding that individuals have the potential to solve their problems with the right coaching from a counsellor who can provide new perspectives. Greater self-understanding will be fostered and you will learn skills to functionally address problems and to better manage emotional discomfort.

I approach each person with an attitude of openness and curiosity, and a desire to understand their unique personality and life circumstances. As an English-speaking psychoanalytic counsellor in Berlin, I attempt to tailor my approach by taking into account where clients are in their development, and what works best for them.
